Another Guilty Plea to Winifred Jiau Inside Trading

The former SEC reporting manager for a Silicon Valley company faces up to 5 years in federal prison for inside trading from which he made $6,464.

On December 7, 2011, Stanley Ng, formerly the SEC reporting manager for Marvell Technology Group, pleaded guilty to conspiring to commit securities fraud and wire fraud by providing inside information about Marvell to Winifred Jiau and Son Ngoc Nguyen.

Jiau was sentenced in September to 4 years in federal prison for conspiracy and securities fraud (click here to view).

Nguyen pleaded guilty in May to conspiracy to commit securities and wire fraud (click here to view). He is awaiting sentencing.

Ng, 43, of Cupertino, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit securities and wire fraud. He faces up to 5 years in prison and a fine of $250,000 or twice the gross gain or loss from his offense. He agreed to forfeit $6,464, which is what he made from the inside trading.
